Why us

We play first

Every review comes after real playtime. If nobody on the team finished it, we don't write about it.

Honest ratings

Our scores reflect what we felt, not what anyone wanted us to say. A dull game gets a dull number.

Emberhold Saga
RPG

Emberhold Saga

★★★★★ 4.6

Emberhold Saga is one of those RPGs that respects your time. Battles are turn-based and quick, party building is flexible, and the story pulls you along without dumping ten menus in your face at once. We got attached to the healer character way faster than expected.

  • Snappy turn-based fights
  • Real party customization

Questions & answers

How do you decide which games to cover?

We start with what's popular and what we're genuinely curious about across different genres. From there, someone on the team plays it far enough to have a real opinion, and only then does it get written up. If a game bores us to tears, we'll say so rather than pad the catalog.

Do you get paid to write reviews?

No. Nobody pays us for a score or a placement, and we don't accept that kind of arrangement. Our ratings are just how we felt after playing, and we'd rather keep it that way even if it means covering fewer games.

Can I suggest a game for you to review?

Absolutely, we love suggestions. Drop us an email with the title and why you think it's worth a look, for example someone asked us to try Big Bass 3in1 and we ended up really enjoying it. We can't promise to cover everything, but we read every message.

Is there advertising on the site?

We may run some basic ads to keep the lights on, but they never influence what we write or how we score anything. Editorial and any advertising stay completely separate. If that ever changes, we'll be upfront about it.
